Cairo ICT ‘24, the premier technology event in the MEA region, concluded its 28th edition on November 20th, marking outstanding success. This year’s event attracted +130,000 visitors and featured more than 500 exhibitors from around the globe. It showcased cutting-edge innovations across key ICT sectors, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, telecommunications, and financial technologies.
Held under the High Patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, Cairo ICT ‘24 cemented its status as a leading technology event in the Middle East and Africa by hosting impactful conferences. Cairo ICT ’24 was also supported by H.E. the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat and was inaugurated by H.E. Prime Minister of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Ministers of Higher Education Prof. Ayman Ashour, and Justice Counsellor Adnan Fangary.
Along the 4-day event H.E. Minister of Finance Ahmed Kojok visited as well as H.E. Minister of Agriculture Alaa Farouk, as well as H.E. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi – Minister of ICT of Uganda, H.E. Ms. Mary Kerema, Secretary of ICT of Kenya, Mr. Lacina Kone, CEO of Smart Africa, and Mr. Said Saif, Director of E-government in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
The event also attracted notable delegations from across Africa and the Arab world, including participants from China, Kenya, Oman, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, UAE, Uganda. And many more shared valuable insights into accelerating digital transformation across different regions.
